Recent reports have revealed disturbing allegations involving hidden cameras at a sleep diagnostic and rehab centers affiliated with Northwell Health on Long Island.

 

A technician employed by the facility secretly recorded patients in private areas, including bathrooms, without their consent or knowledge. Authorities have arrested and indicted this technician, and an ongoing investigation seeks to identify additional victims.

  • Hidden Cameras Discovered: Multiple concealed cameras were found in patient bathrooms and private examination areas.
     

  • Arrest and Charges: Sanjai Syamaprasad, a technician associated with Northwell Health’s sleep diagnostic center, is alleged to have hidden a camera in a fake smoke detector, which he installed in public bathrooms at the Northwell Health Sleep Disorders Center and Northwell Sports Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Rehabilitation Services of the North Shore (STARS) in Manhasset, NY.
     

  • Scope of Incident: Syamaprasad is alleged to have captured hundreds of videos of staff and patients, including some children. Investigators believe numerous patients could have been unknowingly filmed during their visits to the facility, potentially spanning several years from approximately October 2022 to April 2024.
